Does Buying Chewy, Inc. (CHWY) Stock Today Make Sense?

Just watched in interesting university interview of a former Goldman Sachs trader. He essentially said you cannot rely on brokers or other stock advisors. That you have to do the work yourself and that the information to analyze stocks is free on the internet. I think what is missing is that most people don't know how to use that information. Your channel has greatly changed to way I look at stocks by showing me how to use that information and I thank you.

I bought at about half this current valuation, their revenue growth and gross margin make me optimistic for their future but to start a position right now would be tough. The one thing they definitely have over other online retailers like Amazon and Walmart, they offer prescription pet food. They're able to process prescriptions. I know that's super duper niche but that's beside their prices that beat Amazon in many cases. I found this out being a cat dad 👍🏼

This is one on my radar. I was in this in June and sold out couple months later. We use Chewy all the time.

I was, very kindly, invited to the New York stock exchange for a private tour and got to hang out on the trading floor. It was on the day of Chewy's IPO. I got to see and experience the bell ring and the confetti, it was very exciting stuff!

At no point however, was I tempted to buy shares though.

I use and absolutely love Chewy. But I'll admit that it ran up too fast. I bought a tiny bit before the election and it took off. Great point about no 3rd party selling. And also, I don't think they have a Chewy Brand product line either, do they? Is that something they would even want to do? If they adopt a similar strategy to Amazon and push their products over the competitors, it could be a potential for growth. I don't see that happening anytime soon though.
