Suit up for classic comedy! Peter Venkman (Bill Murray), Ray Stantz (Dan Aykroyd), Egon Spengler (Harold Ramis) and Winston Zeddemore (Ernie Hudson) take a chance on going freelance, de-haunting houses in a new ghost removal service. I went to see this movie every weekend in 84'. Every time the whole audience sang the Ghostbusters song... it was magical. That never happens anymore.

Watched this a lot growing up. Never gets dull, Ghostbusters is a film that seems to be timeless even if it looks a bit dated. True masterpiece of film making and a great film and as far as fantasy and comedy goes probably one of the best films in it's genre.

I'm old enough to have seen this in a theater when it first came out. Nobody knew anything about the movie. The way it started out, everyone assumed it was a horror movie trailer. But when Bill Murray appeared and said, "Anybody seen a ghost?" the theater erupted in cheers. That's how popular he was then. Everyone in that crowd would have been happy to skip the movie we'd paid to see if we just could have watched this one instead.

I remember growing up with this one and I was so terrified of the library Ghost but still I watched a million times.
Recently bought the dvd and I still know all the lines ♥️

Sometimes I forget that 1984 was a wild time to be alive. At the end if this trailer, the voice over mentions all lead actors except Ernie Hudson.

I remember when I was in fifth grade, my third grade teacher (The school was grades 3-5) asked me who I was gonna call (I was being picked up from school that day), and I replied “Ghostbusters”.

I frequently hum the title track and doing so for 40 years now. Thank you Ray Parker, Jr for writing and performing this marvelous song. There will never be another decade like the '80s ever again.
We still had a few drive-in theaters operating in 1984 so we went to see it at one. A fun night indeed.

I love how at the end it cuts off before Venkman could say “ass” 2:15

Notice the way they don't spoil the big surprise of the movie by showing Stay Puft? Trailers these days are like an a-z of the movie you can basically piece together what happens whilst watching them and anything that could be a surprise is ruined. Even more so in the last 10 years where every movie has about 35 trailers and 20 international versions showing more and more every time.

This was such an awesome and incredible film released in a year with plenty of incredible films! Looking forward to the next film, out this month.

Pretty cool that they were able to use the actual music from the movie in this trailer rather than subbing in other music like most movie trailers do even today.
