Pixel the parakeet enjoys conversing with the miniature laptop

The outpouring of support about Kiwi was genuinely heartwarming and consoling. Thank you everyone who commented on our prior video. Pixel has livened up a bit more in the last few days. He has one cage down in the "bird room" and now has a cage in dad's office where he can spend time closer to humans. During the day, Pixel gets to spend even more time outside the cage and has found a cozy spot at the top of the warm computer monitor.

Hope you all are taking things a day at a time there—- as I’ve been thinking of you. We lost our boy, Bumpy four years ago and needless to say when something with that much love and joy has departed, it’s no trivial thing. So glad you have Pixel to help ease the pain. So glad to see Pixel is doing well after the loss of his big brother. It's so odd to see this little guy by himself. I lost my budgie over three years ago, & I still miss him. He looked exactly like Kiwi & was my best budgie buddy. I wear a locket with his feathers every day because it's like he's still with me when I have it on my neck. He's so pinny, I just want to reach in there and preen him. I love the pitter patter of little budgie feet, and he's so cute kissing and chatting to his mirror friend in the toy laptop screen. I'm glad you still have Pixel. You might not notice bird chatter when it is there, but you do notice when it's gone. My parents have noticed how quiet it is at their house since I brought Mango with me to my apartment when I moved.
