1000 Words - Final Fantasy X-2 (piano cover, cutscene version)

Second, this arrangement is dedicated to the one, the only, the insanely great and accomplished @mechachoi, incredible pianist and overall modern Renaissance genius who invented the Flip Grip for the Switch in conjunction with Jeremy Parish, which allows you to play classic shmups like Ikaruga as God Intended in vertical arcade mode, but also builds his own custom cabinets for his digital pianos and turned his Ring Fit peripheral into a Mario Kart controller and recreated a STAGGERINGLY detailed and exquisite authentic Korean city center complete with spa and restaurant in his Animal Crossing New Horizons island, and really I could go on and on about everything he's done and is able to do but you guys get the picture lol. So for some reason I still can't comprehend, he mentioned to me that he loved my absolutely horrendous 2014 rendition of 1000 Words on Spotify and listened to it like almost daily, to which I was so mortified that I was inspired to arrange and record a new version. My older version of 1000 Words is off the piano collections, the slow solo piano version, which is a nice arrangement, but the version that's close to my heart is the Sweetbox version--I watched that concert cutscene like a bazillion times because I love it so much GAHHHH I GET SO EMOTIONAL THINKING ABOUT IT 😭 So this was the perfect opportunity to actually try to do that, thanks to Mike!!! ❤️❤️

This was rather fun to arrange but absolute hell to learn, but worth it--it's got so much tasty hip hop influence and a funky bass ❤️❤️ I hope you all like it! FFX-2 IS AWESOME OMG I KNOW IT GETS SO MUCH HATE but I was so, SO SO addicted to that game, it was so girly and quirky and fun and unhinged, I love it more than FFX. (Yes I went there!!) Combat was exhilarating, Paine is the GOAT, first turn based FF where you could actually interrupt enemy attacks, which was pretty great!!
