What are PHP Workers?

Everyone seems to be talking about the importance of PHP workers, but what are they exactly?

In this episode of Mission Prep with Josh we'll talk through what PHP workers are from a basic technical perspective and draw an analogy to a real world example.

Here's some PHP worker information we'll cover:

- The basic technical description of a PHP worker is the process that runs when a visitor takes action on your website.

- In the real world, a store owner is a good analogy for a PHP workers.

- The more people you have in the store the harder it would be for a store owner to help them all by herself.

- As the number of the people in the store increase the store owner may need to hire help. Essentially adding more PHP workers.

- At some point the physical store will be too small to accommodate all the people trying to shop. At this point you'll need a bigger store, and this is similar to needing a bigger server.

- A larger store with more workers is like having more server resources (CPU, RAM) with more PHP workers.
