This is my first visit to your Channel and after seeing the variety of genres you have take the time to categorize, I'm going to return. My home city. ALL the locations still recognizable 63 years on. The scenes in the 'Hebrides' were filmed on Arthur's Seat, a mile and a half from the location of MacPherson's premises on George Street (now L K Bennett).

My mother, at 13 years old in 1959 , happened to be walking past the shooting location for the end scene at 1:21:11 (boy with gun) outside the National Gallery in Edinburgh. During a break in filming, Sellers relaxed in a chair, and my mum walked up behind him and impertinently tapped him on the shoulder and asked him for an autograph . Back in the days when the public could wander on to a set and approach huge stars without security interfering.
