What's scarier is the inspiration for this episode was Steven Moffat seeing an angel statue in a grave yard and coming back years later with his son to see that the statue has disappeared with everything around it relatively untouched.

I got a model of a weeping angel for my shelf when I was younger and my sister would always sneak in to move it every single night and it freaked me out. I only found out last week.

Someone mentioned this once. This Weeping Angels episode broke the fourth wall. There were angels that stayed still but weren't looked at, except by the audience. This is my favorite episode because it has audience participation.

Most of doctor who episodes were goofy sci-fi fun for me but the weeping angel episodes genuinely terrified me as a kid. Even now just watching this clip makes my heart rate go up a bit.
