This is one of the rare times I'm impressed with Trump... I thought his TPP criticism was just campaign rhetoric, and that he'll just fall in line with other Republicans and "re-negotiate" the TPP. But instead, he made good on his promise and pulled out of it. We'll need more details to give him full credit, but so far, it does look good.

Remember, this was the main reason why the Democratic Firewall fell.

This is not a good move, TPP is a jobs bill for US workers in industries that export their products around the world, where 95% of humanity lives. With TPP, trade barriers to US products come down, leading to more jobs here. It imposes copyright protections for our artists in all these countries too. Taking us out of TPP will cost us 1% in GDP growth, billions of dollars out of our economy. It took us years to get everybody on board for this because it levels the playing field for US companies by promoting exports with no reciprocal tariffs. Trump is going backward, not forward.
