Man, the fact that the same consoles that had COD Ghosts at launch a decade ago can still play BO6 is wild. I really hope they eventually drop last gen next year because holy shit, the harm that does for development is crazy. Since next year seems to be a BO6 Part 2, I’m guessing we’ll see last gen support until 2026. Which is getting close to the launch of the PS6 and whatever next Xbox there’ll be in 2027/2028.

Really was hopping for a serious COD title with minimal immersion breaking cosmetics, but they’re leading with the neon colors and fantasy stuff this time so definitely not for me.

Not only are they wanted to pull as many numbers as possible but I think the reason it may be so easy to stay on the previous generations is the requirement to cater to the Xbox Series S system.

I think they stepped up their game (pre order bonusses, vault edition etc) because 1 XDefiant competition (Free to play fps) AND if BO6 is GamePass Day 1 they obviously want more people to buy more expensive editions to balance out the “free” players. Making the extra content cooler makes for more vault edition sales.
