Peter Parker's return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe has finally been set as Sony Pictures announces an official release date for Spider-Man 4. One of the most highly anticipated projects in the MCU timeline has been the upcoming Spider-Man 4, after Tom Holland has been absent from the franchise since 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home. However, following many years of development, Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios are closer than ever to turning Holland's sequel from concept to reality.

Sony Pictures announced today in a formal update to their release slate that the untitled Spider-Man 4 movie will be swinging into theaters on July 24, 2026, officially making it part of the MCU Phase 6. Production is set to start in Summer 2025, with Holland currently attached to the Spider-Man 4 cast. The movie will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. Zendaya is also reportedly involved in the film.

A real trailer will arrive as part of the lineup for Super Bowl 60 but might be later (release date could change to November of 2026 to keep its IMAX release since the untitled Christopher Nolan film will come out with Spider-Man 4 & the aforementioned film on the left will take over IMAX theaters for 3 to 4 months)
