Brooklyn Center Police Chief: ‘The Community Wants to Feel Safe’

Kellace McDaniel is a Brooklyn Center resident who has been the city’s police chief for six months. “The past few years have been really rough in Brooklyn Center,” said McDaniel, who previously worked for the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office. “The community wants to feel safe, no matter what income level, no matter what dialect you speak, or what diversity group. Everybody deserves to feel safe.”
