This is officially a Genshin Impact channel now

There are some days where I just wish I didn’t start playing Genshin impact as a joke and ironically become addicted to it.

Hero Hei is like Dramaalert but even better.

Remember when the only concern about Genshin was when the Switch version would come out?

The Nastiness of Hoyo-Nasty: (from CN players)

1. Cutting off any way for players to have conversation with Hoyo-Nasty. and choose surveys/bug fixings that benefit players the LEAST.

2. Brought up loyal dogs among Genshin players. so they can protect them and erase all the opposite noises among other players, thus creating a divided community that work on their favor.

3. Dividing players. making royal dogs to Self-hypnosis into thinking Genshin is a "fine" game, everything Hoyo-nasty does is "fine" and "reasonable". and led this divided community have civil war among themselves, biting each other, so Hoyo-Nasty can just stay quiet the whole time, sit there and watch, and giving out packet changes at the right time and gain the most benefits from the loyal dogs and players that at their disadvantage afterwards.

I don't play genshin but know if they are balancing the event awards or balancing the community

I would rather have them focus on fixing bugs and in-game problems than keep doing... whatever the hell they are trying to do here.

This whole event is like the social credit meme.

It's still pretty odd that the event is more of an advertising campaign for the game.

Re: the last comment, I think the idea that MHY owes participants 'payment' (not necessarily money, just UNLIMITED, GUARANTEED compensation) is right. If I need to do something specific for a set number of hours (minimum) that will directly benefit a company, that sounds like work. Compare to fanart vs promotional art-

If an artist draws a character from Genshin in their own time, because they want to: that's recreational, even if it new players join because of the art, the artist is owed nothing by MHY.
If an artist draws a character from Genshin for a competition and submits it: it's still doing something for a hobby, if they win that's a bonus. They are guaranteed a chance to win, those are the terms. How many hours they put in, how much effort, none of this is specified as a condition of ENTERING the competition. It might help them WIN, but simply submitting the piece gives them the chance of winning.
If an artist is made to draw a specific number of pieces of promotional art for Genshin, which must pass a certain 'quality level' to stand a chance of getting compensation? That is work.

Genshin is trying to pay influencers in THE CHANCE OF GETTING COMPENSATION. Not even 'fake money that buys pixels known as primogems'. The CHANCE of winning fake money. And not even enough fake money to guarantee a rate-up character (yes, talking about the four stars - you need at least 20 x 1600 primogems to guarantee that).

Marketing and social team is a bit wak still...damn....

Oh well, good thing I play for other reasons.
Still!
Still wak.

Also just something I've wanted to say for a while now:
Thank you Hero for staying calm when talking about problems. I appreciate hearing someone who looks at the facts and both sides, not just attacking.

I look at this and think "common phone/cable company tactic". Its great for players but primarily streamers/content creators who have yet to play the game. Gives them an incentive (even if its amounts to nothing) to try the game. However, this does little to nothing for those who are already playing/streaming it. I can personally say that there is a BoTW youtuber who just started dropping his playthrough of Genshin recently and its been enjoyable to watch. Now if this creates more streamers of a similar mindset I'm all for it.

I haven't even opened genshin in like a week, I played everyday since launch and just got bored basically... this is just making me want to play even less...

Caps on the rewards?
Wow.
Imagine promoting Genshin impact on your twitch stream just to be paid in gatcha bucks.

Hei, what's your progress in Genshin right now? I'm not exactly sure where you're playing, mostly because I'm not doing a hundred percent completion.

I've been playing genshin for a year and finally got the courage to uninstall it, my life is peaceful now.

We’ll never know Hero. Ppl on Twitter stay unhappy even when something good happens. They’re constantly stuck being mad and triggered for no reason.

Even some of the big Genshin impact streamers said this was a very bad event

It's unbelievable how badly disconnected the developer is from the community.
I really wish they stop being stingy all the time.
Even honkai is not this stingy.
