I've spent years as a Pentatnoix fan before discovering Home Free. Both groups are stunning, but wow... this is probably some of the best a Capella music I've ever heard

I am in my 70's and you are the best group I have ever heard. Last year my Christmas gift to family was to see your concert in Mankato, Minnesota. We all loved it and it was the last concert my husband attended before his death a month and a half later. You gave me joyful memories of that special night. God bless you!

Adam Rupp should be SO proud of this arrangement. It is one of the finest versions of this song that I have ever heard.

Can anyone hear this song without feeling their spirits soar?!! Making a joyful sound that rises straight up to heaven! This is how it could be here! This is how it should be here! All of us singing and dancing together as we help one another. It will be, one day, with His help.

it's been 5 years... and Tim's bass drop still gives chills

What makes Home Free different and better than any other a cappella group is the versatility of the guys in the group. Each person is multitalented. When one person is doing a specific job…there is always another member who can step in and take a position that is needed. If Tim is singing lead…Chance will step in and do bass. A lot of guys can do specific beatboxing…not up to Adam’s standards, but very adequate and respectable. All can sing beautifully, most can take lead, etc. Not many bands, not just acapella, can state that. They are simply put…amazing!!!
And I hope they are around and singing for many, many years in the future. Wishing the very best for the very best!

Yes, Tim's low drop is amazing, but as a singer myself, the most amazing part is the journey down to that drop. He starts up top, and beautifully descends to the drop like a leaf drifting from the top of the tree to the ground. *STUNNING*

This is the MOST BRILLANT rendition ever. So complex, yet simple. Total harmony in a very unexpected way. This rendition all day.

I've heard many acapella groups, but Home Free takes the cake. Thank you, Home Free, and God bless y'all!

I never log in. I never make comments. But I had to for this even though I know it is years old.
This arrangement is nothing short of stunning! The interplay of the harmonies is masterful, using the range and talents of each member to its best. Many of the moves were surprising but never felt gratuitous or flashy. It was fun and uplifting and just plain joyous.
And then there is the entire rhythm section.... just wow. WOW WOW!
Adam Rupp please do not stop doing what you are doing.
To all the rest of Home Free, you get love, too, you know you do.
Can't wait til we can have live performances again.
Be safe and stay healthy!

My husband and I listened to, and watched, everything you have produced.  He recently passed away due to brain cancer.  Your music was something we shared and loved together.  Thank you for the memories I will always have with him.  He would have LOVED this one.  Hopefully he can hear it where he is now.  <3

I've spent hours over the last year trying to find a copy of Adam Rupp's original introduction to this song which got thoughtlessly deleted to be replaced by the standard tour date boilerplate. Thanks to reactor Maggie Renee scrolling through the description during a reaction I managed to get a screenshot and recovered the introduction:

On the surface, this arrangement of "Do You Hear What I Hear?" sparks the imagination with different musical themes, and brings life to several different scenes or imagery about the birth of Christ. However, a deeper understanding of the song reveals a call for peace in a chaotic violent world under the simple truth preached by Christ: love. Originally written during the Cuban missile crisis, a parallel can be drawn to any time when the world needs a reminder to love not hate. The theme of competing voices is echoed in the execution of the 4 different vocal parts that come to clarity at the 4th verse and unify with the same message in 5 octaves: "Listen to what I say. Pray for peace, people everywhere."
– Adam Rupp
