In this tutorial, you will learn how to import geographic information systems (GIS) data into Google Earth Pro, specifically ESRI Shapefiles.

Shapefile is a unique vector data format used in geographic information systems, which was developed by Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI). Shapefiles are commonly used to describe vector features such as points, lines and polygons which are primarily used to represent things such as point locations, roads, rivers, buildings etc on a map.

Very nice. Any way to have just state borders, rather than color-filled states in Google Earth? The border data are clearly there, the shapes are just color-filled.

First of all, thank you very much for all of your tutorials sir. You make learning GIS very easy. I have a question, can I use QGIS to calculate APAR (active photosynthetic absorbed radiation) using MODIS 1KM or any other satelite data? Many renowned publications says they used MODIS data to calculate APAR and which is used to calculate Net Primary Productivity (NPP). But i couldn’t find any videos on youtube. If possible make a video on this topic. Good day sir.
