Ricky Tims Quilting LIVE: The New Quilt Reveal

Ricky worked on a quilt in secret for his entry in the International Quilt Association judged show. He wanted it to remain hidden until after jurying and judging. But now that Quilt Festival is cancelled, he will reveal his new quilt LIVE and talk about the techniques he used to make it. It’s called Music of the Spheres. Does that give you any idea as to what it looks like?

Hi Ricky...this is Karen from Ottawa, Ont. Canada. and a musician as well. Thank you for your mini recital. Is that an old pump organ you have there?? Beautiful and well done!
I have a quick question...I am a quilter among other things..knitter, sewer of other things other than quilts etc. But...how do you choose your colours? Is it just by eye, or do you use a colour wheel? They go together beautifully. I'm especially intrigued by how the overlapping colours change and how you get the shadowing effect if that makes sense. I'm not sure if you will get this but thought I would try! Thank you for the inspiration!
