A Russian court has extended the pre-trial detention for Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich.

He will be detained for another two months until January 30 next year according to the court.

Mr Gershkovich was arrested on espionage charges in March while working in the journal's Moscow bureau.

Both he and the Wall Street Journal have denied the charges.

Mr Gershkovich could face 20 years in jail if he is convicted.

I rekon they could get this bloke+Whelan swapped for Assange. Assange moves to Russia then in "the eyes of the West" Assange loses all credibility. Win Win for all.
