Better never stops, until the cell providers eventually shut down their older networks and you're left with a car that has no useable onstar capability and gm unable to replace the module with a newer one because it just happens to be tied into the infotainment system and powertrain control modules in a way that is impossible to remove without gutting the whole car and replacing every electonic component at a significant cost to the consumer. Or you just live without it hoping you never get into a situation where you might need onstar
