The Shri Suktam is from the Bashkala Shaakha of the Rig Veda which is extinct.Only one branch of the original 21 branches of Rig Veda is surviving today.
This is why Shri Suktam comes under the Khila part of Rig Veda and not the samhita.
No one actually knows how to recite the Shri Suktam as per the original shaakha.

The Shri Suktam is the very transcendental sound form of Mahalakshmi. It is said to be the very source for carnatic music.Ancient Bharata was abundant with gold.In fact,it is said that gold was only found in the vedic culture.
Some say that this is because the Shri Suktam contains the science of alchemy - to convert low form of matter into gold.
Shri Suktam confers all forms of wealth to a reciter.
I have to reveal a truth here - many priests in Malaysia have turned millionaire just by conducting shrii sukta yaagas.

If we combine that word "PrapadyeeLakshmir" means no gap or breath between Prapadyee and Lakshmi, then no problem.
If we give a pause between Prapadye and Lakshmi, in that case we should pronounce as Prapadye then say Alakshmi, if we do this no problem
