Thanks for the upload. Been wanting to see this flick for awhile. A noir about the French Revolution but it captures the depravity quite well. "At first glance someone may mistake you for being a human". This was the beginning of the modern collectivist utopia that greatly influenced Marx.

Aside from the inside plot, the occurrences such as the list of Robespierre's assumed political rivals, his execution as the last act of the Revolution, and the immediacy of Napoleon are true to historical fact.

This Movie is kind of a paradox. It's innovative, , , , brilliant, , , , ( in some scenes) kinda ahead of it's X, ( very James Bondy, 12-13 yrs before the 1st. James Bond Movie, ) but uses the French Revolution as a back-drop for a 1940's low-budget Action Adventure/ Romance vehicle.) I love that stuff as much as the next guy, but Damn, Hollywierd, WHEN IF EVER WILL WE EVER SEE A SERIOUS, FRENCH REVOLUTION FILM, , , ????!!!! THERE'S MATERIAL THERE FOR A THOUSAND MOVIES WTF, , , ???!!!
