Double The Output of the Anker SOLIX F3800 Whole Home Power System!

In this video I demonstrate the maximum possible output of the Anker SOLIX F3800 when two units are combined with the Home Power Panel when a load is applied to the backup panel.

The Anker SOLIX F3800 home power system serves as a comprehensive power backup solution during power outages and functions as a solar energy system for everyday use.

I love detail in your HVAC & Electrical videos these topics can be very complex but you have a way of making them seem manageable.. don’t know if you’re taking video suggestions but here are my 2am thoughts..

1. Why 240/120 60hz, and are we outdated, should we change? Why aren’t homes on 3 phase?
2. What really happens to the power when step down or up transformation takes place -
Can you link transformers forever ? Or do you lose *something*
3. Direct burial vs SER v various conduits with THHN v Romex - when should we use which one or things to consider.
4. When do you need a means of disconnect I.e when cable from meter is longer than 6 ft., disconnect levers vs breakers, breaker box w meter combo boxes. How to size disconnect appropriately, associated wiring considerations.

Good video, the Anker F3800 system is decent. I have two F3800's and 6 BP3800 expansion batteries and a Home Power Panel... so I am speaking from experience. Unfortunately I would not buy again because but they essentially have no customer service. And when they do firmware upgrades, they don't know the changes in specs. And they don't ship anywhere near their promised shipping and delivery time. But as for support, each call or chat takes hours and each response it automatic and says they will reply in 2 days... even for the most basic questions. So unless you're a solar expert, don't count on ANKER for any help unless you have a ton of patience. If I could do over again, I would go with EcoFlow for their customer support

I really wish they allowed charging via 110v when running the 220V output. Charging via my Honda 2200w genny in an extended grid-down situation would have been nice. Instead, I will have to get 120v to 60vDC converters, lose efficiency, and charge via the XT60 ports.

I just install the exact same system x2 f3800 and two extended batteries with the power panel it works great..I had a power wall at my last property and it killed me not taking it with me when I moved. With this unit I can take it with me if I decide to move again

I tried to install one today, almost burned my house, my dishwasher, stove smoked and some lightbulbs burned out. Installed everything like in the anker official video, when running in grid mode its fine, as soon I turn of main power to simulate outage it takes 20 second to switch and then the smoking party starts, especially on older outlets with no ground. Called MR. Electric. They came out and could not find reason why it did spark like that. Reversed main panel to original, waiting for Anker to send me return label, screw this thing. I also noticed that only people who advertise Anker got this crap to work.

If I wanna add a gas generator back up, would you recommend I put that in the main panel or under the critical loads panel? My thought is that if I put it in the main panel, then I can trick the system into thinking that the grid is on. Tell me if my thinking is wrong.

As someone who does have grid tied solar, I am interested in seeing how that works. It is possible to simulate that?

Do you smash & damage all the HVAC equipment you've installed, or did they have rub strips?

Thanks for the video! If you have two F3800's tied together like this, can you charge one via 110V while outputting 240V on the other (to a wall panel or an EV, for example)?

Great video! While 2 f3800s are connected together, if you charge one, will it split the energy between the two units? Same goes for solar as well. Thanks again

I was wondering if I could get a generator question answered? I have my inverter generator connected to an inlet which is connected to a manual transfer switch which is connected to my panel. I wanted to know if I could put in a fusible disconnect after my inlet? Also, is it difficult pulling Thhn through liquid tight?

have you found a way to limit the charge when on Grid power charging 2 F3800's seems to hit 2400 watts each I wish I could cut that in half as it is a lot on my Gen to run the house and charge the F3800s when I have hit the gen disconnect switch also seems like I have to run power over 400 watts to get the smart panel to switch from F3800 to the Gen - Grid Power

Great video, do you know if 2 F3800 can power a 5 Ton A/C ? thanks

The real problem with this Anker model is it isn’t for continuous off grid backup, as the solar input limit is just too small to make a difference!
I would go with Victron, Apollo instead!

This is a dumb question but it's driving me crazy. What's the purpose of the backup subpanel if the anker is able to backfeed the main panel? Is it to be able to choose to only power the subpanel circuits in a backup mode versus powering "everything"?

I’m curious if I can hook 2 home power panels up to 2 sub panels off my main and then use up to 4 F3800’s in my house.

nice old range, i gave up on the new ones.

How do I link these four batteries together if I don't have that power panel? I currently have a transfer switch that I use with a gas generator, which only has a single 240V outlet to plug into. I'd like to have the 12kW with this single outlet plug.

Thanks for the video. I contacted Anker regarding the cable for the smart panel, I was looking for an etension to run from the smart panel to the battery uni which is about 20' away from each other. hs anyone come up with a solution to expand the wiring. the only other option i can thinko of is by by the sub-panel near the main panel, then running the smart panel near the location where the batteries will be. anyone has input?
