I bought one today, grabbed a new 2023 bargain. It'll be my first transition from a floatier 'beginner' board. Hoping to progress enough to use it this summer.

I've rented almost all the Carve's at Jibe City Bonaire, and some other boards. My experience was that the Carve is very easy to sail, and gets onto plane extremely fast (I sail a Tabou Rocket at home, which i will have to sell now) . Especially the Carve 159 was a real treat in the conditions at Jibe City for me at that time. No (hard) work at all getting onto plane, and a very smooth ride. Sailed it with an E-pace 7.3. I'll get one as soon as I can.

Excellent presentation! - to the point but never boring! 👍👏

As usual Harty’s explanations are first rate. I like the lazy option of pottering around and blasting along at breakneck speed on the mid 2010’s floaty Rio with a Tushingham 8.5m2 race sail. I really miss the Tushingham sails.

Is this Carve suited for choppy conditions? Concerned on the width will make it too bouncy in chop. Unfortunately my local spot is choppy even in moderately light winds.

Now I really dont know what to buy. Wanted to get something around 120l for the family. Was thinking initially of a JP Magic Ride 119, then I saw Duotone Eagle 120 looks interesting, and now this!
Probably the best board review I have ever seen.
Is the weight difference noticeable with the other construction? I don't want to have to carry it over the stones in Vassiliki every time my wife wants to go on the

Hi Peter. I am considering trading my 2020 GO 133 in for this 129 beauty. What is your recomendation? Will be there be any improvement because the GO board follow the Carve shapes. What will be the main diffrence between the two?
Thanks

What size Carve for a bigger sailor? 100kg?

I've been looking for a size advice on starboards website and can't find anything. I'm a 93kG sailor so not the 'average' size. I got a set of NCX's from 6, 3 to 9.0. Should I go for the 129 or 139?
