Nice vid A.J, I don't mind the Gnome desktop, however it's a bit bloated and Nautilus is not my favourite file browser, my compromise is Peppermint 7 with xfdashboard set to the Super key, works a treat, lightweight activities overview.:)

Hey AJ I noticed your mic seems to be peaking in the video. Might want to check the settings for your mic. Anyways thank you for the information. Looking forward to seeing more videos from you! Also are you aware of 16.04.1 yet? Might want to check it out as it fixed alot of bugs that people have had in 16.04.

I have been using Ubuntu 16.04 since Beta (Beta to Final Release) and its still running fine.

you should really like a tiling wm i think, when you are using keyboards shortcuts, and a tiling wm is out of your way so you get all the screen realstate you want.

I'm running Ubuntu Gnome 16.04 and its splendid also Ubuntu Mate on my PC in the bed room.

I've been using Ubuntu for several years. I use it almost exclusively and have been very pleased with it. I decided to migrated to Ubuntu 16.04. I have to say that I have learned to work with Unity but not very pleased with the behavior of Files 3.14.3. And, yes, not very pleased with gedit as well.

Arch is calling again I can see it lol..Sorry A.J my bad..Korora would tempt me or Fedora to go back to the source..I'm done with Debian although it's been great..I was using testing and Sid..But one thing you can't get away from Arch it's always there..Now here's a question have you tried Gentoo or Slack..I love Gentoo but I need pills lol..I did Slackware ages ago and still have no idea..Caddy aka Linux4UnMe has been looking at it..Interesting so might look at it again..Or you could float to Unix and try BSD..I love this choice..So no matter what system you choose will you be visiting Gnome again..I think there are 20 questions in this comment..So way too much..Great video A.J :-)

I need some help with my Dell Optiplex 755 running Ubuntu -16.04 Mate.
Trying to get my Plantronics USB headset/mic to work. No luck so far :-(

I like the dock a lot in Unity, but I don't like the dash of which I think it is frankly useless. It is slow, seems unfinished and doesn't integrate well into my daily work flow (using Unity since 2012, now on 14.04). I like the basic idea of the dash though and hope it'll become useful one day. If they just integrated a panel for programs, a filemanager, a bombastic file search feature and a terminal into the dash and removed everything else, I'd be quite happy ;-)

Ubuntu 16 is really taking a hit on my battery life . It used to last 4 hours when using Windows 10 but now it barely lasts 2 hours. Is it an issue with everyone?

You know what when I am at the the login screen you know the place where you have all the the users and you have to get a password well you know what it's disconnected there is no Internet connection and it's not possible to connect to a Wi-Fi from there you have to be logged in before this is very strange
