Leadership at Boeing unveiled the last 747 airplane at a large event on Tuesday. Some 5,000 people were in attendance, including John Travolta.

Farewell? No. The four engined 747 is not less efficient than a twin engined airplane. It carries more freight than it's competitors, the smaller 777 or the tiny Airbuses. The jumbojet will be around for the next thirty years. There are more than 400 of them still flying. Regards from the 747-8 Intercontinental left seat. To this day the 747 is by far the best.
