If the photos that you receive in whatsapp application are not appearing in the gallery of your iPhone then what you do open whatsapp application. Then tap on this settings icon here. Go to storage and data and you have this option here media auto download. So select this option photos and you have to make sure that the photo will be downloaded either when you are connected to wi-fi or when you are connected by using wi-fi and cellular. If you select never then the photos will not be downloaded. Similarly go to video and select the option wi-fi and cellular or wi-fi whichever is suitable but don't select never. So once you do these settings the other thing what you have to do is you have to again go back to the settings option. You have to go to this option chats and there is an option here save to camera roll. Make sure that this option is selected so that the photos that are downloaded in whatsapp application will appear in the gallery of your iPhone.
