Despite promises of free World cup viewing here for all, the NBTC, Thailand's broadcasting commission, has clarified that THEY are still waiting on essential reports from the sports authority of thailand, that would enable such a deal to go through. BUT if those reports are not handed in by mid week, it will be too late to negotiate the deal with FIFA. The sport authority told the press they had handed in all reports LAST WEEK, so somewhere along the line, someone has dropped the ball. Either way, the state promised to pick up the tab after no broadcast corporation was willing to commit the cost of the licences.

In the capital, police who raided an allegedly Chinese operated after house drinking den, at the time holding a Rolls Royce vehicle, found in the carpark as they traced its owner, believing him to be the owner of the club, where over 100 patrons failed drug tests. Quietly working to one side of the drug operation, a track team located numerous addresses belonging to the Rolls and were fascinated by the finances of the Chinaman who is reported to be.. just 21 yrs old. One condo revealed a stash of cash, 19 million baht, along with 2 more Rolls Royces, and two top of the line Mercedes benz. Now, you may wonder, why wasn't he himself nabbed? WELL, it seems he was legally here on a tourist visa which is renewed whenever he flies to Thailand, on his private luxury jet which was last reported in Thai airspace shortly after the club raid, heading in a direction unknown.
Staying with high end cars for a moment, but a different owner this time a Singaporean expat who made the weekend newswires after introducing his red plated yellow Lamborghini to a Toyota altis, in a rather aggressive manner, in fact he crashed into the small call on a Bangkok motorway, pushing it into the path of a pickup truck. On Walking Street, the new block paving has been daubed with colour to brighten it up, the concern, of course, is that the paint will wear off quickly leaving it looking worse for wear BUT city hall promised us that the contractor would guarantee their work. The street of a thousand neon lights is now of course a pedestrian only precinct after 5PM, and well policed by those with multiple language skills all in the hope that the fun area remains safe and fun for all.
Our FM signal has seen a few drops in the past days as technicians worked to improve our signal output. We apologise for that and note that it didn't affect streaming in any way. The repairs? Well, every rainy season here takes its toll on radio, and those repairs will keep a crystal clear signal reaching your car, home or business.
And as the covid era dwanes, so we at 103 look to kicking off a new season of guests at least twice a week on the morning show. Thursday takes a cool turn, with a woman who took on and revamped a local magazine in the city.
