👏 I got a comment for that! 👏 The vet is responsible. You’ve recommended before that vets secure their private records themselves. Understand the process folks. He’s dropping all the nuggets!

You are so right. The veteran should do the leg work and make sure the VA has their records, it’s their claim. Once a veteran has their records, they can resubmit them if the VA needs them again. Thanks for sharing.

Dewayne, I think I had the best C&P exam experience of C&P exams today.

My evidence was so good, the examiner was adding and diagnosing multiple other secondary conditions.
SHE did an OUTSTANDING job.

I was even have a Flareup on one condition that required a physical up close and personal check (I’ll spare you the details). They gave me the choice since they had plenty of evidence, but I had already mentally prepared myself and I said “NO, I don’t want ANY Doubts” “DO IT” 😂.

Optum Serve (formally LHI) did the exam.

Evidence is key !!

Hi, Dewayne. Box 17 (17A) is for listing VA medical facilities (or DOD MTFs) where treatment was given for the conditions, per the instructions. So. I have not entered "N/A" but have described the appropriate VA facilities in this section, which I believe is significant for assisting the rater so they can filter through VHA records. I think this is worth mentioning to clarify for everyone. I never entered private records here, as you indicated, because it goes against the written guidance (the veteran just needs to read and follow directions). Take care!

Quick question. Is it possible to go to your old duty stations and request medical records if you know the dates you were stationed at the said bases?

You wouldn't happen to have videos on claims for restless leg syndrome or frequent urination due to medication would ya?

What if the outside treatment records have no relevance to your claims????

KEEP YOUR OWN RECORDS!!! VA cannot even find all old VA records. I have several records from VA facilities and the VA cannot reproduce the record or get a copy of today.
