Something interesting that people who only play League probably wont know, some of Leagues removed items are in other Riot games, mainly the Ruined King game having Feral Flare, Hextech Gunblade and Heart of Gold as equipment there and Stalkers Blade and Wriggles Lantern being Relics in the Path of Champions mode, where cards can also get other removed items like Skimishers Sabre, Ancient Coin or Philosophers Stone.

So while they may be removed from League, they are still connected to the universe

I used to be a jungle GP one-trick back in the early seasons before the rework and Feral Flare was my go-to item when I felt like counter-jungling. The sheer power spike it could cause was massive for anyone that could take advantage of it and it definitely made for some fun games.

Those were some good times.

Feral Flare WW was my jam, I remember just building on hit and shredding an enemies entire health bar. Then it got replaced by Skirmishers with Devourer and then I shredded health bars with just that one item instead of a full build.

I learned to jungle as ad bruiser Evelynn with feral flare. That was before her rework and her old ult was so good for starting team fights. I miss the feral flare days.

Didnt play with feral flare, but I had a lot of fun building devourer on off meta guys like braum and chogath

My highest mastery point champions are Udyr and Shyvana. still play a pretty farming and counter jungling focused playstyle on those.
feral flare/devourerer legit shaped me as a player :D

I didn't play when Feral Flare was a thing, only started afterwards, but Devourer was my boi. That was the only times when I actually touched the jungle.

i remember it fondly, but i'd argue that it wasn't the most broken thing, i'd argue that sated devourer was more broken, because i used to combine it with guinsoo's rageblade and attack speed boots on Xin Zhao, with that i could solo baron at min 25, something that neither Jax nor Yi could do with that, after guinsoo got changed and Xin could no longer solo baron, it was Aatrox with sated devourer, attack speed boots and botrk/different lifesteal item

Oh, yeah, that must be when I played LoL for the first time, cuz I remember Udyr suddenly appearing in the game with stacked FF and pushing down to our Nexus... what left bad enough first impression that I abandoned League for more than five years. Good times!
