Its a shame to see these ancient giants harvested. That tree was at least 200 years old.
The forests of the world are being harvested faster than they can possibly grow to be replaced, especially with clear cutting with machinery that can be operational 24 hours a day.
Add to that the popular practice strip housing, plus massive housing and multi family housing developments. They strip off every shread of native vegetation and shap the landscape to suit their designers plans.
These trees provide much needed oxygen from carbon monoxide produced by vehicles, all fuel powered engines and yes even ourselves breathing. We are slowly killing ourselves with greed and unconsciously or consciously destroying our air quality worldwide.

The trunk can kick out and it could kill you but that big behemoth tree was probably a 150 to 250 years old I'm not saying nothing cuz I'm a logger myself but I would say trees like this should be left alone because they've been there for so long that's the reason why they are so big let's let that tree keep growing and get even bigger because you never know 100 years down the road that one tree could probably build five houses

What beautiful creamy wood. Good job. But I wish they would not cut down old growth trees. The earth will run out of oxygen because the very trees that make it are being destroyed. 😢 Mary

It's pretty crazy that they're still cutting trees down. Knowing the oxygen level has significantly dropped. People that do this for a living probably don't have no children or no conscience.
