How to build a firewood shelter | STIHL DIY

A firewood shelter is the ideal place to store firewood correctly all year round. Only sufficiently dry wood burns well and does not additionally pollute the environment and the fireplace. In the video we show you how to easily build such a shelter yourself.

Required material:

- Douglas fir boards each 2000 x 95 x 19 mm
- Square posts, impregnated each 200 x 10 x 10 cm
- Squared timber each 10 x 300 cm
- Terrace boards each 300 cm x 14 x 2,4 cm
- Planks with tongue and groove each 1.9 x 9.6 x 200 cm
- Square timbers each 5 x 5 cm x 200 cm
- Roofing felt
- Spax screws
- Roofing felt nails
- Angle connector with bar 7 x 7 x 5 cm
- Concrete dowel including screws
- Split
- Gravel
- Foundation stones
- Gutter plastic plus holder
- Building timber boards each 5 x 10 x 200 cm
- Construction timber each 2 x 10 x 200 cm or
- Roof batten

Required tools:
- STIHL GTA 26
- STIHL MS 162
- Cordless screwdriver
- Hammer
- Joiner's angle
- Spades
- Screwdriver
- Drill
- Measuring tape
- Pencil
- Spirit level
- Work table
- Gloves
- Safety goggles

I've never in my life, seen anyone use a chainsaw to cut 2x4s. Just use the most dangerous tool known to man, instead of a chop saw. Who's idea at Stihl was this?

I just finished building one out of pallets I got for free and spare hardwood boards I had. The only thing I did differently which wasn't intentional was the angle of the roof is lower at the front

Would this be any disadvantage vs water running off from the back ? I noticed most videos of this design have the water running down at the back instead
