I'm 55 years old. I had to end up sleeping in my car, in a Walmart parking lot, towards the "end" of the "global sick situation" before I could develop a good mindset. Now, the cost of living and the crap economy make it almost impossible for many people to save any money. I am lucky to have a decent paying job now, and have been putting all that I can into Bitcoin. I'll hopefully retire to Bali (or Thailand or Philippines) to live out my final days comfortably. Poor is a state of mind, an attitude. I was taught dumpster diving at age 8; we never had a lot of money, but we were not poor. We were BROKE.
In 2022 & and 2023, I fasted up to one week per month, both to lose weight and to save money.

Without a doubt, this year will be worse than the last. I lost a lot of money last year as a result of bad investment choices that I would not have made if I hadn't been so worried about my portfolio. I kept investing, but I couldn't determine whether to start paying for a house. In the end, I sold my positions, and the house needed more work than I had planned. I was listening to another channel of these wealthy spoiled investors. They said they'd rather be a poor guy and get laid off for 2 years, get unemployment than be a rich guy, and lose 80 percent of his wealth. I was immediately disgusted by this comment and turned them off.
