The Journey to the 2022 Commonwealth Games

Over more than eight decades, many great cities and nations and territories in different parts of the Commonwealth have played – and will continue to play - an active and integral part in weaving together our story and their own through the values of Humanity, Equality and Destiny. Sport unites, challenges and changes us in a way that nothing else can. As Durban lodged their bid to host the 2022 Commonwealth Games, bringing with it the exciting prospect of the first Commonwealth Games on African Soil, we start to write a new chapter in Commonwealth Games history as the journey to 2022 begins.
