How to Record MIDI Music

In this video, I show you how to start recording your own music in Windows 10, setting up the Alesis VMini USB-MIDI controller and Presonus Studio One 4 Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). Starting with the physical setup of the VMini with Windows, and after defining the VMini in Studio One, I record a few chords in four measures of a 5/4 composition. To demonstrate the assignment of a VMini knob, I use the MIDI Learn function of Studio one to map it to the filter cutoff of a synthesizer patch, then show you how to control the sound using the VMini.
