It seems that Docker Toolbox is completely gone now. I'm running VirtualBox on Windows 10 and I can't get Docker Destop to work via WSL2 or WSL1 (I did get WSL1 running and installed Ubuntu) so now I'm just running Ubuntu in a VirtualBox VM, installed docker on it, and installed the Docker client on Win10. I've set the docker host environment variable to the IP address of my VM and that works OK.

How does this works with Docker.
Do i install those programs in Docker virtual container ?

Hello, I need some help to install docker. I use pop-os version of ubuntu in my machine and I struggle to use some repository with docker in my machine . I thought that I install a virtual machine and install a windows 10 version in my virtual machine but i couldn’t install docker. What should i do ? Thanks

I couldn't locate docker for windows but found docker desktop. both are same? I found this in google - Docker on Windows is a colloquial way to refer to just the Docker Engine running on Windows. I find it helpful to think of this as a Windows Container Host, so yes Windows containers only. ... Docker Desktop for Windows is a product meant for running both Linux and Windows containers on Windows
