Destiny 2 - GUARDIANS WHO LEARNED ABOUT THEIR PAST LIVES!

Guardians wake up with no memory of who they were before. Reborn thanks to the Travelers Light, they have a new purpose: protect Earth and the Last City. Some, through either wake up with journals on them from their previous life or scour various planets and Golden Age facilities for information. Today we discuss Guardians who learned about their past lives.

That line by Bray has bothered me since the first I heard it. Where she says “they sought to create peace for all humanity, which is ironic because they also built Rasputin, the single most powerful weapon in the solar system” like yea. How do you ensure you can be peaceful? You have a big enough stick that can ensure victory over would be oppressors.

I always play as my Guardian (9/10 a Warlock) knowing much of their past. He had a Data Crystal on him. The crystal had his journal, lots of books, music. Information about his previous life. Such as him being a soldier during the great war. His wife, also a soldier, dying in his arms. That fact that his wife use to tease him about drinking green tea and always reading. His fellow soldiers calling him professor. I find it makes the character more relatable.

now, I had a theory about Clovis, the big head man, and again, oddball theory, but still, don't mind me.
So since Rasputin controlled SIVA, and we were bringing back Rasputin in Seraph, we had to use Clovis. what's to say he didn't..y'know, take a few things from Rasputin's codes for himself when we weren't looking? like...maybe something data-wise about the same location of SIVA we found in the Cosmodrome yet still...something we never thought of, or something we never knew Rasputin even had, anything about Clovis is up in the air, yet everything about Europa, the Crypt, Rasputin and Seraph is always something I enjoy with Destiny. thanks for listening to my oddball theory, and have a great rest of your day, Guardians!

I would expect, knowing Clovis Bray as we all do, that upon uploading a mind from a body (which IS a terminal event for that person) the body would be disposed of, possibly rendered down into useful chemicals and compounds so NOTHING is wasted. The question remains one of how pristine the upload and storage of that mind. Even Exo's are restrained from remembering too much about themselves prior to becoming an Exo.

Imagine being an Exo that hasn't dead yet when all of a sudden you see a previous version of yourself, exo-1 or something, walk by as a resurrected guardian. Maybe even your human self from before the process.

You know, it makes me wonder if Cayde was able to remember fragments of his previous iterations and Michah-10 finding her Exomind archive data from when she became an Exo, could that be possible for other Exos (and Exo Guardians if they are so curious) to find out who they were before their minds were placed into vessels of metal and radiolarian fluid.

It's also worth noting that in his final moments before his death at the hands of Uldren, Cayde-6 says "I'm coming home, ace." Ace was the persona he created around his vague memory of a kid before he became a guardian, it's highly likely that this kid was Micah Abraham.

In the final moments of his life, Cayde-6 wished to go home to that child he had long forgotten, and after his revival, he did, in a way.

Bungie really needs to look into pulling a Star Wars EU, or like what EVE does where they allow people to publish non-canon but in-universe books because it's wild to me that there isn't just a ton of stories from people about their own Guardians doing their own thing when we're not saving the universe, like fighting minor bad guys, or dealing with Tower politics, or looking into their past. Stories like that could go crazy, and I think it could also help revitalize the game a little bit if Bungie played into it more, I don't know.

All my guardian knows about his past is that his name was Norman. He gets teased about it by a younger guardian who found out.

It is frightening, how much data the Braytech Facility holds on the Exo Programme. And all that date rests at the disposal of a certain Large Head that STILL contains the intellect& intelligence of one who want's to be Humanity's "God". Lets pray Clovis Bray never comes across an Echo, and never rises to the level of threat we have to deal with. I do not fancy Guardians fighting Guardians.

I was just playing through some of those ghost fragments missions yesterday with the Cayde and Micah dialogue. It got me thinking, is Cayde’s memory of Ace actually Micah ? It’s been theorized that Ace was never real, did Cayde remember bits and pieces of Micah through his various reboots and create Ace out of that memory ?
