It’s easy to be “ethical” when there is no physical threat levied against you or your family for standing up for the right thing. Taking a moral high ground when it is free from consequence requires no courage.

This is actually a somewhat real thing. Those in the mental health field call it "reflecting" and its used to build rapport.

The "You're not supposed to agree with Dennis" argument is missing the point. Dennis IS a sociopath, but his assessments are correct. It's how he uses his knowledge that makes him crazy. Was Dennis wrong about 'The Implication'? No. But it was the fact he was willing to use it to his advantage is what makes him a monster.

I used this method, I thought they would catch on and get angry at being treated like little kids, but complete opposite, totally works it is ridiculous. I can't do it long term, just for a short interaction or else my brain starts melting.
