I think Nick should be given a better chance to improve. As much as I like Danny I think he’s had his day. He bottled it when at Red bull with Max. Pretty much he pissed on his chips when he left.

I’d take the AT seat as an opportunity to show the top teams that he’s actually a viable prospect. He had a rough time at mclaren so teams will be hesitant to take him in and risk hiring a burnt out driver. I think he needs to prove himself before he can reasonably be considered for a seat with a top team

I'd say take the AT seat. If he can start being competitive in the midfield and get them some points, it will show that he's still got it.. I cant see any of the top teams taking him, especially with a year off and just simulator training. I'd like to see AT more competitive mid range and De Vries isn't cutting it *so far*. Maybe he'll improve, but I'd rather see Ricciardo in it.

Danny needs to take what he can, and prove himself. The McLaren car killed his confidence the last 2 years. Although I think the performance of Norris and piastri this year has shown people it wasn't only Daniel's performance.
So who knows. But he should hold out only for a seat at a top team if he wants to drive

Daniel is reserv driver for Red Bull and Alpha Tauri. So he needs that seat annyway for the moment he must jumpin. To test tires and the cars for the teams and he does that 3 times this season

It's not Nicko's fault that his car is crap. Even Yuki is battling to get any performance out of it.

I would bet it has something to do with McLarens contractual payout. He may have to actually drive in a race in order to receive but then also, blowing out the Cobb webs in order to make a mid-season reappearance seems likely as well.
