There’s a ton of Irish myths and legends surrounding St. Patrick's day, but in this video we delve into possibly the weirdest one. Not for the faint of heart, but snake-enthusiasts are welcome.

As a pagan, I will wear a snake symbol on St. Patrick's day. I no longer celebrate St. Patrick's Day.

English Sailor 1: Hey, have you noticed that there aren't any snakes in Ireland?
English Sailor 2: Yeah, weird. I wonder why that is.
Irish Sailor: Oh, that's simple. Saint Patrick drove them all out.
English Sailor 1: Hmm, seems legit.

Not how it went, but it could have happened that way.

Great now I have an image of St.Patrick being able to shout like in Skyrim

I think the stories children are told should provide a moral to the story with something to learn from, Irish do this so well.

The Twa people of Africa are the first inhabitants of Ireland whom Patrick committed genocide against.

Serpents as a metaphor for Druids was never a thing. This was made up 100 years ago by people who had no evidence. The snake legend was just a legend to show Patrick as a holy man. Someone saw there were no snakes on Ireland, didn’t know why, and decided to attribute it to St. Patrick to teach kids to be thankful for the Saint.

Like Washington “not able to tell a lie” about his father’s cherry tree, the legend tells something true about the man even if the story is non-historic.

Definitely a metaphor for paganism. Not only did we have Druids and our own pagan mythology, we also had Viking mythology too. Even though history states that st Patrick came to Ireland long before Norman settled it would have been a constant push to wipe out paganism. And here we are today, still living in Roman civilisation, ain’t it grand? I’d rather be nomadic with my kids living off the land, free, pull up a piece of land wherever I feel like. Can’t do that here in Australia, you need a number for everything and every square inch is owned by someone or the government.

I’m late to this party but.. ps there weren’t any “books” . Druidic faith was always a spoken knowledge. It was never written… so burning the books? Uhhh the books were old druids brains full of knowledge

The "Snake Story" has a true ancient history and this had to do with the practices that went back to Sumer and Egypt, and Ancient Knowledge.

Patrick was acting on behalf of the Roman Catholic Church to remove the old lineage and practices as much for the history as for the religion.

Whether Patrick was aware of what he was doing, I don't think anyone can say.

But they were after Ruling the Gaelic Irish back then.

That's why they taught them they were Celtic and the Irish are only Celtic if the Basque were.

Ireland has yet to realize "who we are", when that is realized, then the whole subject will begin to see the greater facts emerge.

1. Differentiate between "Mainstream Academics" and "Authentic Academics", the Mainstream still pursue keeping their Darwinian THEORY Paradigm a-float.

That's really been proven inaccurate through DNA research but hasn't been really shared with the Public. Researchers can find it. Also the "All out of Africa" Theory proven inaccurate, Dr Davud Reich, Professor Emeritus, Harvard, 2019, Genetics and DNA Speciality and the Research Guru.

The Basque hold the key and we are Basque, more predominately in Counties Kerry and Cork, but all Irish of original lineage group are and we have a notable % of Rh(-) Bloodtype. That is also key.

Don't let other tell you something is myth while spinning myth.

And it is against the "Standards of Science and Research" to hold a Theory and its Paradigm as fact.

That is unscientific, unethical, and unprofessional.

St. Patrick raised the dead. People are not true believers of the Lord so they start creating their own perspective on what they think actually happened without checking the facts.
