I mained Nita from the start of the game and I have to say that she is good in heist but not insanely overpowered. As you said, she lacks range, and has to rely on bushes or walls to get closer to charge her super. Against a skilled player you'll get instantly zoned and won't be able to charge your bear in time, that means you will waste time and give enemies an opportunity to do a lot of damage to the safe, at that point, you might not have time to get close to their safe and do enough damage to win. I think Nita is decent and even good on some bushy gem grab and hot zone maps, where you can use both of your star powers and a stun gadget. I personally used the heal star power and a stun gadget to push her to r30. Also sorry for The TED Talk that i wrote here lol

I used to play this game before gadgets and gears and although I played casually I got a few top 100 finishes using a star powerless level 9 Nita (mind you she cant break showdown boxes with 4hp left at level 9 at the time). The best way to describe Nita is “A Support Brawler which acts like an assasin in the manner of a tank”. Nita’s bear even with the star power is very weak. However her strength is the idea of the bear. The enemy cant ignore it because it is just strong enough to break their formation. If they waste their ammo on the bear you get a 7 second advantage where the enemy has not achieved anything in the last 5 seconds and will not achieve anything for 2 more seconds. That is where a weakness forms for Nita and her teammates to push through the lines. Because of her short range and weak health she cant fend off enemy pushes and just fills their ults so, in my funny opinion, Nita is best played as aggressive as possible. Charge in quickfire all your shots and retreat. Dont chase but force them to chase you.

hmm want to say she is pretty good at hot spot because after she gets her bear she can use bear and herself to distract enemies and get another super
I played her in hot spot and it went pretty good much better than heist

What about Nita when gadgets were first introduced
The Stun Gadget had no delay and was Broken
It was easy kills
Paired with Hyperbear it was something else

The entire concept of Nita just does not work in practice, she has below average speed, range and damage with her main attack so she wont be getting her super very often. Bruce is to slow and can be shreaded by more than half the brawlers in the game, the bear just has to little hp or damage potential. All these factors together make Nita underwelming to play
