Feedforward Control

Feedforward control is a strategy to reject persistent disturbances that cannot adequately be rejected with feedback control. In certain situations, the performance of control systems can be enhanced greatly by the application of feedforward control. What is needed are two key characteristics:
1. An identifiable disturbance is affecting significantly the measured variable, in spite of the attempts of a feedback control system to regulate these effects
2. This disturbance can be measured, perhaps with the addition of instrumentation

Dear
in video in 2:27 you said the goal is too cool down the hot water
but the feed back sensor is measuring the temperature for the outlet of cooled water so i think the goal is to heat up the cooled water
or the second drain in the right is for the hot water and left drain is for cooled water
sorry for disturb just i wnt to insure my uderstatnding

is feed forward control and disturbance observer based control the same concept?

Thank you for these great videos! I have two question about feedforward control implementation:
1) is there any lecture or book that you would suggest explaining when to use additivie vs multiplicative feedforward control when combining feedback and feedforward signals?
2) The other topic that I am very interested to learn more is about scaling that is needed for the feedforward control signal (for additivie combination), if the feedback controller is postion mode vs velocity mode. I would really appreciate if there is any resource that you would suggest to learn more about this?

Is the drug test or the background check a feedforward control?
