Wow, you lost me in so many ways in just the first 15 seconds. One, jQuery is a dying framework that needs to be put to rest. For the dwindling developers maintaining legacy code, there are already thousands of much better tutorials out there.

Second, he starts by saying "welcome to this introduction to Java"
"... introduction to Javascript" would be more accurate but even that is incorrect. He's not covering Javascript in general, just jQuery.

I feel bad for any novice watching this video.
