Just bought a new x1, very pleased, I looked at all 3 of the others but the x1 just felt better quality and design, only the poor bottle holders and lack of small storage drawer could of been better otherwise excellent all round

I have had my X1 18d s drive M Sport for over a month now and it’s a very capable car. Great driving position and fantastic handling. The only thing I don’t like is the new operating system is not as easy to use as my old 320i touring also I find the driving modes a bit gimmicky but apart from that it’s a brilliant vehicle.

I’ve had the Audi Q3 40TDI Vorsprung since June 19. I’ve had many cars, but frankly, this is the best. Not wishing to tempt providence, but nothing has gone wrong. Everything still works. It is averaging 37 mpg (6.36 l/100 km), which considering is quite good. Adaptive cruise control & lane keeping assist are crucial for a constant motorway driver. The leather seats still look new. The B&O stereo is awesome and the boot swallows my camping gear whole. It has held 65% of it’s value. When the lease period expires this June, will I buy it outright? You betcha, no brainer!

I found the BMW X1 to be the best when it comes to customization and mitigating the cost. You can really fine tune a custom package that will fit your budget. When trying to add options with audi and mercedes the price really sky rockets quickly.

I agree with your assessment. I ordered the iX1. We only had an X1 for test driving but the interior is basically identical and it was similar enough to make the decision. The iX1 is going to be faster than the X1 we drove and who can go past having Hans "Zimmer In Your Bimmer".

I just got the new X1 (18i) with the M sport package. I had the previous X1 version. Overall, I can say that it’s a completely different car, in every aspect. Almost like night and day when comparing both generations. Very sporty when you need it, and very confortable!

The new Mercedes GLA 220d 4 matic is a great car on bad roads & quiet on tarmac, built strong as i drive in it 7000 miles a year. It always works.

Great comparison! very detailed! Greetings from Mexico City! In Mexico we have a lot roads in a very bad conditions so I love the way that my Audi Q3 S-Line normal edition (No Sportback) performs in this roads with very bads conditions. The Audi suspension is very comfortable!

Personally, I am Not a fan of BMW’s comfort level. I drove x3 and 228i. The seats are killing my lower back. X3’s is more tolerable but I expect a much better seat from a luxury compact SUV. I hope the latest generation offers some improvement on that. Recently, I picked Volvo and ordered an XC40 ultimate for how comfortable the seats and the ride are, and the safety features/records of the brand offers. It will be my EDC for the next few years. So comfortable ride for long hour driving and top safety are the top priority. Driving dynamic, acceleration and handling are more than adequate for how I use it everyday. When your seat is hurting your butt, the handling, acceleration and driving dynamic becomes meaningless. Coz all you want is to get out as soon as possible.
