It is the only church in honor of Saint Agathi in the prefecture of Etoloakarnania. It is located near the village of Stamna in a wonderful natural environment with many plane trees and water. According to a founding inscription, the monastery was built around 1830 but has been renovated countless times. It celebrates twice a year on the 5th of February which is also the memory of Saint Agathi and on the 23rd of August as then is the memory of an earthquake that had taken place in 1824 during the Civil War during the revolution of 1821
