Randle is a “better shot creator “ if better means taking 15 seconds to get his iso shot off and shooting 32% from 3. Get used to the 2 offensive fouls per game. Randle’s style is that of a #1 option when he’s not your #1 option.

Getting to the conference finals once and thinking you have enough to run it back is a typical mistake teams make. 2021 Hawks, 2022 Mavs, 2023 Lakers... You only won 2 series, maybe you had favorables matchups, maybe there was an injury, maybe you got a bit lucky a couple of games. I like the idea of taking risks and making decisions to be better in the future, instead of just running it back

I really believe that the Eastern Conference is going to come down to Knicks versus Celtics. Aside from health and injuries—which is obviously the most important variable—I believe that the outcome will be decided by who wants it more and who plays harder. The talent is close enough that anything can happen. 🏆

Good commentary, as a Knick fan i wanted to keep Julius. But I will tell you all Julius is a really good player he can take over and is unstoppable inside and he shoots the 3 ball easy. He is tough. This trade was about the business of basketball

I am a big Knicks fan for 50 years. Also a huge Kyle Anderson fan. I watched every game of both teams played last year. Minnesota wins this trade hands down. Kat is has been there for how ever many years and has won nothing. You are not going to win a championship with Kat. Randle is statistically his equivalent and in actual play may be don't have one of him. He is the best shooter on your team and a very good defensive player. Almost all knicks fans are sorry to see him go. Him and Brunson almost beat the sixers with just those two. it is going to be a great season in Minnesota.

As a Wolves fan I feel damn good about this trade. Knicks fans, get ready for Towns to break your heart. He will tease you with his offensive genius on minute, then commit a ridiculous flailing offensive foul in crunch time, or inexplicably start missing 3's in the playoffs after shooting over 40% in the regular season.

Randle is a very good passer, not a “shot creator” exactly, but will drop a bounce pass on a dime to a cutting ANT over and over…DDV is a winner, it was a pleasure watching him as a Knick.

That being said, after the dust settled, I realized how good this move was.
Hoping he is Willis Reed, and not Bob McAdoo.

Re Tatum MVP conversation. In reality the only way he enters it is if Brown and Porzing are out for long stretches of the season.

There's just no way he can show dominance at the Luka/Embiid/Joker level playing in a full strength lineup.

It's literally an MVP or Finals trade-off question with him and Celtics.

Comparing this Celtics team the Warriors with KD is not a great comparison as far as how they are discussed. There was negative discourse around both teams but for different reasons. With the Warriors people recognized how great that team was and were frustrated because they felt like they ruined the sport because they were unbeatable. The reason Celtics fans are frustrated now is that the narrative has largely been that they only won because of injuries to everyone else and that if Jimmy Butler was healthy for example, they would’ve lost which I think is ridiculous. But people are downplaying what the Celtics did this year because of that. I also think people are talking bad about Tatum because of his jump shooting being poor in the playoffs. But I look at it the opposite in that he’s so great that he was making impactful plays on both ends even without his jump shot which most guys can’t do outside of all time greats such as LeBron, Giannis, and Jokic. Tatum at this point is one of not the most versatile superstars in the league but people only care about shooting when there are so many other aspects of basketball that Tatum dominates in.

As a wolves fan i think were better now . If the fit with Randle hurts the team finch was easily put naz in as a starter or just limited the minutes randle plays with ant by letting him play alot of his time with the bench . But donte makes the wolves significantly better also allows then to not be forced to play rookies if they arent ready day 1 tho i think Dillingham will be not sure if Shannon will be . Not to mention you added a future pistons 1st you either use when it conveys in the next couple years or package it to improve next Summer if you want to retool the roster. Ive watched kat costed us 3 playoff series with his no showing every other playoff game so i dont see how Knicks are better when randle & kat are the same tier of stars while they also have up their 2nd best player from last years playoff run . Knicks arent beating boston & if embiid is healthy come playoff they likely not beating them either especially with how embiid dominates kat . Dont have rudy behind him covering for him this year and sorry to tell yall Mitchell robinson while solid isnt rudy as a defender . Supermax player got locked up by pj Washington in the wcf made his days in minnesota numbered why i don't get wolves fans acting surprised that he was moved.
