With the cost of replacements these days, it is becoming more and more important to maintain your vehicles, even if it's a little motorcycle.

The Suzuki GZ 250 is probably no ones first choice for a dream bike, and is often considered a "Training" motorcycle by many, but with the crazy fuel prices these days, perhaps it warrants another look.

One of most common and often self-inflicted problems with any gasoline powered engine is contaminated fuel. Gasoline actually has a shelf life and can become problematic if we allow our engines to sit idle without running for long periods of time. Over time, as the fuel breaks down, it becomes very odorous and its consistency becomes slightly thicker as the gas begins to resemble a syrup or varnish. The adhesive characteristics of the degraded fuel reeks havoc on fuel injectors, fuel pumps, fuel filters, and yes, especially Carburetors.
