Happy to say that I finally was able to take this on a HOT Texas day and it did very well. With no pre chilling of any kind, no ice packs, etc. My Igloo 30 held the ice like a champ. More than satisfied with its performance.

Food for thought... right now you can buy Igloo 18 for 69.99. One Yeti here is 270 with taxes. Yeti products are made to last but the zips fail often(hence why the soft is 3 yr warranty as opposed to 5 for the hard coolers). You could buy an Igloo 18 once a year for three years and still be less than one Yeti

Thanks bud, haven’t seen yeti win a practical comparison yet 👍🏼

I took the plunge and ordered the Igloo 30 soft. I wanted to be sure I could fit liquor bottles if needed. I could not make myself pay 323 after tax for a Flip 18 from Yeti.

I have the reactor. For the price, you can't beat it. I'd take 18 cans over 12 any day. Yeti is for small egos

$250 for the yeti, jeez no respect for money. Walmart has the Ozark 24 Can for $40 and it works perfectly.

Im not doubting the results, but was it actually 24 hours... it was daylight when you put the ice in, and dark outside when you opened them up?

No doubt about the results, but I do wonder about the durability of the Igloo because even with Yeti, soft coolers have issues with those zippers. But, its a win for Igloo!

Igloo 18 can cost £112 in uk…but 79 dollars in USA..

Excellent video! The one thumbs down is either the CEO at Yeti or someone that just bought the Yeti last weekend and is upset about the waste of money. 😆

colour difference aside, the igloo was more full of ice due to its smaller size. The best way to keep any cooler fully cool is to have it filled to the brim with ice and to minimize the amount of air inside. That, along with the slightly lighter colour can explain the difference. It would've been more accurate to fill them both up to the top, and measure ice loss as a percentage compared to weight. Even then, whether the yeti wins or loses by a hair, still doesn't justify its price tag.
