I mean that must have been super embarrassing for Larsa who had said not long before that that Michael Jordan and the rest of the family approved of their relationship.

How mature did she expect him to be. He's almost young enough to be her son. People say age is nothing but a number, but that is not true. It makes a difference in the maturity level of most people. There are some exceptions to the rule. This obviously was not one of them. Some older women may date younger men, but marrying them should be out of the question, especially if they are 30 and under. You're not evenly yoked with a man that's significantly younger than are. Same can be said if it's a young woman marrying a man old enough to be her father or grandfather.
