This is my third video in the 'LZ Studio Albums' series... which focuses on John Bonham's drumming on Led Zeppelin's Third album. I discuss and demonstrate the drum grooves and key fills...and yes I know, at the 43:44 mark I say Maracas, when I meant Castanets!! 🙃

Thanks for watching and please subscribe !

...and follow us on Instagram, and Facebook.
We have more great video covers on the way!

“I’m gonna play the rehearsal version” Only George! The professor! 👌 loved this. Snowdonia is an absolutely beautiful mountainous region of North Wales. I’ve spent many holidays there with the family. Thanks George.

I love the rehearsal version of Immigrant Song because of how the song gallops. I really enjoy hearing how their songs evolved in the studio. Thank you immensely for this video. A treasure trove of information!

Hi George, I don't want to seem like I'm brown nosing but I won't be able to talk about this series of videos, or indeed any of your John Bonham style drum demonstrations, without my praising you and the thoughtful way you present this art. I'm really enjoying and learning so thanks once again.

Very enjoyable video. Like your articulate description of Bonhams playing as well as your playing to a fantastically tuned kit. Very Bonhamesque. Love it and thanks!

Yes, the Professor is back! Great stuff as always George, thanks! LZIII has some drumming gems on it even though it might be sparser than others. Especially SIBLY for me as well. How are there no pictures from the studio sessions? C'mon Jimmy, release them!

I’ve played Celebration Day doing a five stroke roll into some of the crash. I know that’s not what he played, but it sounds pretty cool. The fills he plays during the guitar solo are some of my favorite playing from Bonzo.

I love love love Zep 3. The bluesy, country, hippie folksy aspects of it. Imagine having Poor Tom, Jennings farm and hey hey what can I do as leftovers!
