In this one I wanted to see if a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe can sound like a Two Rock Joey Landreth Signature amp using whatever pedals I need? I'm playing my Castedosa Conchers Baritone!

I think this series seeing if I can get a Hot Rod Deluxe to sound like other amps will be really fun and interesting! Even if you don't use a Hot Rod Deluxe the pedals and settings I use should help! cheers

Joe Bonamassa has said on a couple of occasions that you can basically "rule the world" with a Les Paul and a Fender HRD. But good god, the HRD is loud. I've had 100-watt stacks (JVM, Dual Recto, JCM800) that didn't give me headaches as quickly as the HRD or Fender Twin Reverb did. I had the Michael Landau version of the HRD and that one was blisteringly loud.

Both sounded great. One costs you 400 and the other will set you back 4k. That’s about it really. 😂

Run a 12At7 or even a 12y7 in V1 of the preamp. It will drop the volume about 10 percent and sweeren the tone slightly. I run a 12at7, as a pedal platform its a fantastic club amp

Didn’t the Strokes use them in the early days? If that’s the case then, they have some of the greatest guitar tones ever heard.

It doesn't matter, tube amps are a thing of the past..
With today's technology ss is the way to go, it's getting to the point where there is no real difference in tone, and with ss there's really no maintenance, no buying tubes or biasing or any of that..
New ss has onboard effects that run after the preamp instead of dinosaur tube amps where you have to run effects in front of the pre(unless it has an independent effects loop)..Tube amps are obsolete in 2024! Ss is lighter, more user friendly, economical and just better than tube amps now...
Sorry tube guy's...
