For a country boy that comes across as very normal and the opposite of the Goldust character, it’s wild to think that Dustin actually suggested to get breast implants to enhance the Goldust character. It’s one thing to want to make the gimmick work, but it’s another thing wanting actual boobs. He could’ve worn fake tits under his suit but he wanted the real thing done. Perhaps there is a devious part of Goldust that lives in Dustin.

He really is amazing cause they all say the best "characters" in wrestling is just your personality turned up to 10. Goldust by no means seems like an extreme version of Dustin he very much is playing a character and to see him have so much success with it is a testament to how good he really is.

I WAS THERE!!! My first ever live wwe/wrestling show! I was in the eighth grade. To this day the hottest match I’ve ever seen live was Goldust vs Savio Vega at MSG. Mind you the main event was HBK & Diesel vs Bret Hart & Undertaker. We went absolutely nuts for everything Goldust did, & he’s right, we yelled all kinds of explicit terms at him (this was the 90s). Even though he was the villain I remember becoming the biggest fan of Goldust because I was so intrigued by how he was able to elicit so much emotion from a crowd and just roll with it. Legend for life! Thank you for the memory Dustin!

Goldust never should have worked but Dustin turned the character into gold (no pun intended). I like that Savio helped Dustin get over by telling him to be wild and not hold back. What a true professional.

I've followed Dustin's career since his first WcW run. Absolutely loved his work and energy. And he carried it over to WWF as Goldust. I knew it was him when I saw his debut. But he did such a good job of going heel. Great work!
