RS IN 2009/2010 when dungeoneering released, I personally believe that was the sweet spot for graphics. Meanwhile maintaining the mechanics of 2007 runescape.

Honestly we just need the original 2008-2010 graphics. Some of these are over the top, and they do not align at all with the feel of RS.

The OSRS HD one made in unity looks really weird to me. OSHD looked way more 'Runescapey'. But still a cool project and a cool video!

When ever I try to get back into OSRS, i just feel burnt out on it since I spent 16 years on that game leveling up my account that is stuck in rs3.

117 really deserves more attention if it does turn out to be approved by RuneLite. The work is absolutely stunning, and it is the next best thing if you're after the golden era of RuneScape.

The owner of HDHelpers name was Mike. Myself, Brainfree and Marneus were all developers on the client. We made a java wrapper to port to native JNI. Andy game at a later date and this information is not all correct. Mike also attempted to open a business under my social security number and lied to the scene saying jagex shut us down because we wouldn’t show the code, however everyone BUT Mike and Totty were willing to share it.

I’d actually play OSRS if there was an HD option. 2008-2011 was my absolute favorite time playing this game, so to capture it again with graphics would buy me over instantly.

Before EoC ruined RuneScape, it was in a perfect state. The graphics were awesome and the audio was getting pretty good (ESPECIALLY in Dungeoneering and the bosses). Words cannot describe how much I want this to be real. I would be more than happy to give monetary support to an effort like this.

Imo the HD that's being worked on by Totty strays way too far away from what Runescape's graphics should be. Don't get me wrong, the project he's doing is beautiful. But I do prefer the graphics from around 08-2011. Those were the years I really enjoyed the art style and it wasn't as changing as Totty's client is. I would prefer the guy 117 from Reddit/Twitter that's working on the Runelite HD plug-in instead! Interesting video though. : )
